Battling Invasives at Malvern Hill
Privet, bittersweet, honey suckle and metal fencing still think they can take over our land, so it's time to head back and finish what we started...
So far the team has cleared out of a ton of privet and metal fencing, giving both native plants and animals a chance to survive and thrive, while keeping the park safe for visitors. We will continue on this project along the highlighted trail:
We will meet at the Parsonage parking lot (also highlighted). I will have tools (Loppers, wire cutters, saws) as well as extra gloves, but we recommend you bring your own, if possible. Otherwise, make sure you bring sturdy work clothes/boots, bug spray, and plenty of water. Lucky for us we will be outside, but please do your best to stay six feet apart at all times.
