Capital Trees Fall Workday in the Gardens

When you are volunteering, please follow these tips for healthy volunteering. HandsOn Greater Richmond emphasizes the importance of following CDC guidance.

The chill of winter is nipping at our heels, but there is still plenty of work to do in the gardens before most of the plants go dormant. Join Capital Trees at Great Shiplock Park and along the Low Line and lend a hand in maintaining this public urban landscape along the Capital Trail. This will be an all hands on deck event where we will focus on prepping the gardens for winter. We welcome all participants whether this is your first time or you have volunteered with Capital Trees before!

We will meet in the green space next to the parking lot in Great Shiplock Park.

We require all volunteers to wear closed toed shoes. Use of sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat are highly encouraged.

Parking is available at Great Shiplock Park (2803 Dock Street). Additional parking is also available on the street just past the park towards Rocketts Landing.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
