The Hanover Fire-EMS Training Center lays the groundwork for the future firefighters serving Hanover County. On days of service like these, we're looking to create opportunities for residents to partner with government collaboratively and for residents to have the chance to support services that are in their own neighborhoods and Richmond region.
Volunteer Tasks:
Be a part of laying the ground work at this unique facility by working with staff to re-do the parking lot. Lay railroad ties and gravel, beautification of area around the flag pole such as weeding, planting and mulching. If you are skilled with carpentry, we also have a need for some stable steps.
Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing for getting dirty. Closed toed shoes required. Volunteers should bring their own water, and if working outside: sunscreen and bug spray. Meet by the flagpole.
This project will be CANCELLED in advance in the event of rain. Volunteers will be notified by Wed, Sept 20, if the project is cancelled.
This project is a part of our regional day of service, Give a Day RVA. Registration will close 24 hours in advance.
